Non Coast Guard Approved –This is not a Life Jacket

Liquid Force Squad Tao Heritage

The phenom who rides with more style and charges harder than anyone, needed a vest to match...Daniel Grant's signature vest, the Squad TAO Heritage. Built not only to look good, but to perform at the highest competitive level. Strategically stitched to provide full range mobility without holding anything back while you boosting of kickers or pressing on rails. Daniel also tends to get cold while not riding in the warmer waters of Thailand, so this vest is equipped with the full coveraged chill stop liner to keep DG warm around the globe.

Please note that comp vests should fit snugly to get the best comfort and performance out of your jacket. Since comp vests stretch out with wear and use, the initial fit should feel fairly tight. Don't be alarmed if your vest feels a bit snug when you first receive it.

FAQ

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COMP AND A CGA VEST?

A CGA vest is a U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket designed to provide maximum flotation and meet legal safety requirements on most public waterways. It is thicker and more buoyant to help keep you afloat in an emergency. A comp vest (competition vest) is not Coast Guard approved. It is thinner, lighter, and more flexible for better mobility, but it does not meet legal life jacket requirements on most public lakes and rivers.

How do I know it fits?

If it zips, it fits. Comp vests are designed to fit snug, so if you can zip it up, it’s the right size. They will loosen slightly once they get wet, which is why we recommend starting with a tight fit.

Who should wear a comp vest?

Comp vests are best suited for experienced riders who are confident in the water and prioritize mobility and comfort while riding. They are commonly worn by advanced wakeboarders, wakesurfers, and cable park riders who want a slimmer fit and greater freedom of movement. Comp vests are not recommended for beginners, children, or anyone riding in situations where a Coast Guard–approved life jacket is required.
