This Comp Vest is Best For:

  • Riders who demand maximum comfort: Exceptionally lightweight and super soft design feels like a second skin.
  • All-day wake sessions: Ribbed flex panel design moves with your body, keeping you comfortable no matter how long you’re out.
  • Style-conscious riders: Sleek black colorway for a clean, classic look that never goes out of style.
  • Performance-driven wakeboarders: Tapered waist and wider arm openings ensure unrestricted movement for grabs, spins, and inverts.

The Liquid Force Ghost Comp Wake Vest is back and better than ever! The most popular vest in the lineup, the Ghost combines ultra-lightweight design with increased foam padding and a flex panel construction that molds to your body. Designed with a tapered waist and wide arm openings, this vest lets you move freely while still hugging your frame for a snug, secure fit. Whether you're charging hard or just enjoying the ride, the Ghost Comp Vest keeps you covered—comfortably.

Please note that comp vests should fit snugly to get the best comfort and performance out of your jacket. Since comp vests stretch out with wear and use, the initial fit should feel fairly tight. Don't be alarmed if your vest feels a bit snug when you first receive it.

FAQ

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COMP AND A CGA VEST?

A CGA vest is a U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket designed to provide maximum flotation and meet legal safety requirements on most public waterways. It is thicker and more buoyant to help keep you afloat in an emergency. A comp vest (competition vest) is not Coast Guard approved. It is thinner, lighter, and more flexible for better mobility, but it does not meet legal life jacket requirements on most public lakes and rivers.

How do I know it fits?

If it zips, it fits. Comp vests are designed to fit snug, so if you can zip it up, it’s the right size. They will loosen slightly once they get wet, which is why we recommend starting with a tight fit.

Who should wear a comp vest?

Comp vests are best suited for experienced riders who are confident in the water and prioritize mobility and comfort while riding. They are commonly worn by advanced wakeboarders, wakesurfers, and cable park riders who want a slimmer fit and greater freedom of movement. Comp vests are not recommended for beginners, children, or anyone riding in situations where a Coast Guard–approved life jacket is required.
